Description

The heart-warming sequel to Rebecca Thorne’s instant Sunday Times bestseller, Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea. For fans of Bookshops & Bonedust and Our Flag Means Death. Queer pirates will discover if enemies actually can become lovers . . . Kianthe and Reyna are hunting for dragon eggs to save their hometown. To secure their prize, they must strike a deal with the local lord – who in turn wants Serina, notorious river pirate, and scourge of his supply chains. Surely, they can handle one small abduction in the name of justice? Begrudgingly, the couple joins forces with Bobbie, one of the lord’s constables. Bobbie is determined to capture Serina, but lawmaker and lawbreaker have a complicated history – and it might jeopardize everything. As Bobbie and Serina become reacquainted, Kianthe and Reyna watch this relationship-wreck from afar. Then from not quite as far. Luckily, matchmaking is Reyna’s favourite pastime. The dragon eggs may just have to wait. Take a break with a good book and a (heart)warming tea – and prepare for adventure . . .

Reviews

I absolutely loved this sequel. I think I actually like it even more than the first! The LGBT representation was on point. The pirates and adventure were fantastic without ever making it feel like the stakes were high. You always feel safe with these characters which is why I love them -- Chad, from Goodreads
Mist floating over a river at dawn, golden light filtering through pine trees, late-night auroras, mountains capes, and two women utterly devoted to each other adventuring through it all by griffon, ship, and horseback (though begrudgingly the latter for poor Kianthe), A Pirate's Life for Tea was a heart pounding and delightful sequel to Can't Spell Treason Without Tea -- T., from Goodreads
It's wonderful, cosy queer joy. It is truly special -- Emma, from Goodreads

Author description

Rebecca Thorne is an author of all things fantasy, sci-fi and sapphic romance. She thrives on deadlines, averages 2,700 words a day and tries to write at least two books a year. (She also might be a little hyperfocus ADHD.) When she's not writing (or avoiding writing), Rebecca can be found travelling the country as a flight attendant, or doing her best impression of a granola-girl hermit with her partner and their three dogs.
